At the AGM it was agreed that the board would look at varous aspects of selling on the forum.

One of these aspects was the way Traders are able to advertise in the Market Place.

The following changes will improve the usefulness of adverts by reducing their number and ensuring that items which have been sold are identified as such.

1. Traders are allowed up to 20 items in an advert. The title must have a generalised idea of what is for sale with the top line of the advert stating what each part is.

2. Traders are allowed to edit their posts so that they can identify when items are sold, but NOT to add new items.

3. Trader adverts are to be identified as such by the words "Trader Sale" at the foot of the advert.

Traders are those members who have their own section of the forum in the Companies and Services area.

There are also changes affecting all sellers:

4. No bumping adverts more often than once per week, if someone continues to do this after receiving a warning the advert can be removed immediately.

5. Adverts are to be removed 2 months after being published irrespective of whether the goods have been sold. Adverts for coupes are to be locked after 2 months, as we do not archive them when finished.

There is one change affecting non-trader sellers:

6. Sellers who are obviously obtaining roadworthy coupes to break for parts will have their selling permissions removed.
If they are genuinely recycling parts from coupes which would otherwise be scrapped and crushed, and can convince the moderators or admin of that fact, then sales of parts from one such car will be allowed each year. In all cases any parts sold must not come from more than 2 complete cars in a 12 month period.

Thankyou Pete.
I still think traders should sell thier parts in the traders section only.

What do you think about it Pete ?

I think that what we have is a good overall solution Joe.

We can now see how it works in practice before the next AGM when we can all review how succesful it has been.

If necessary we can then make changes.

On more reflection. How many traiders do actually sell on the parts for sale forum ?
Maybe i should have put that question at the AGM.

I still cant see why traders/trader should be able to sell on the parts for sale section non restricted. Unlike other sellers.

By non restricted i mean more than five items.

From where i stand the club seems to be giving special treatment to one maybe two traders !

I dont see how the clubs giving special treatment to one of two traders. The rule applies to all traders, just because not all of them sell parts thats just the nature of their busienss.

At the end of the day this was decided by a majority vote at the AGM including yourself so im really not sure why this is an issue now.

If it doesnt work im sure it will be brought up again at the next AGM.

Well yes Mario i was at the AGM but did not vote in favour nor against as there was not a call for a vote against !

Its just where one see,s things from i suppose.

Lets hope it does come up at the next AGM and is not left to one individual to put thier point over for their own gains and then somehow the majority votes for it.

Not exactly true Mario, the item was being discussed and points of view exchanged at the AGM. I recall it was decided, and accepted, that the BOARD would make the decision on this.

I think the more access we have to parts the better it will be for all of us.

I cant see any of us disagreeing with that comment.
Its the source of the parts and how coupes are broken for profit that concerns me. Eventually there will be no whole coupes to buy and renovate.
