Revisions to the selling rules. - 10/10/2012 08:46
At the AGM it was agreed that the board would look at varous aspects of selling on the forum.
One of these aspects was the way Traders are able to advertise in the Market Place.
The following changes will improve the usefulness of adverts by reducing their number and ensuring that items which have been sold are identified as such.
1. Traders are allowed up to 20 items in an advert. The title must have a generalised idea of what is for sale with the top line of the advert stating what each part is.
2. Traders are allowed to edit their posts so that they can identify when items are sold, but NOT to add new items.
3. Trader adverts are to be identified as such by the words "Trader Sale" at the foot of the advert.
Traders are those members who have their own section of the forum in the Companies and Services area.
There are also changes affecting all sellers:
4. No bumping adverts more often than once per week, if someone continues to do this after receiving a warning the advert can be removed immediately.
5. Adverts are to be removed 2 months after being published irrespective of whether the goods have been sold. Adverts for coupes are to be locked after 2 months, as we do not archive them when finished.
There is one change affecting non-trader sellers:
6. Sellers who are obviously obtaining roadworthy coupes to break for parts will have their selling permissions removed.
If they are genuinely recycling parts from coupes which would otherwise be scrapped and crushed, and can convince the moderators or admin of that fact, then sales of parts from one such car will be allowed each year. In all cases any parts sold must not come from more than 2 complete cars in a 12 month period.
