My Daughter will be 17 soon, !! I have been playing around with insurance quotes, came across a weird one.

If it's her name only on a Ford Ka it was about £2300, if my wife went as named driver it came down to £1650, if we then add me to it as well it came down to £1350, I understand why this is.

But then, if I said it was going to be kept in our garage overnight rather than on the drive way, then it went back upto £1650??? All I can guess is, a new driver is more likely to damage a car getting in or out of the garage then the chance of damage or it being stolen on the drive way.

So basically don't state it's being garaged.

Dam I naturally assumed that garaged would be the better way. Will remember that for the next insurance quote
