More of the same, I love the fact that even on what is supposed to be a petrol head haven the conversations always go the same way.

Step 1 - "What's Coupe like?"
Step 2 - "censored me, my old son. You'll have to take out the seats/remove all the suspension parts/light a bonfire in the boot to change the belts. (This always from several of the resident experts) rolleyes
Step 3 _ Gawd it will break if you touch it (same resident experts)
Step 4 - Rebuttal from people who've actually had them.

I thought Pistonheads was meant to be populated by people who know about cars.

Although in this thread I liked the thumbs up from the guy who also has an Aero 8 in the garage smile

Oh I love the fact they're all staying steer clear of the 16v's even though they have the pedigree Integrale engine and are easier to work on when it comes to most jobs.

Oh well that's good makes the 16's more exclusive if people think they are bad as I know for a fact they're not having owned 3 now smile

Deary me, they all judge our cars and probably have never even driven one

If he is using the same name, the Aero 8 owner is a well known poster from days gone by! I think he still posts around here!

I've got to love the guy who thought that the 20vt was a bit ponderous and didn't excite him. Apparently though, the Puma just felt so right.

words escape me ...

Must admit though as a drivers car that makes you feel alive and can shoot way above its weight with none of its power wasted the 1.7 Puma is as good as they get. I bought my mum one and was stunned at how good it was.

The topic is steering clear of the 16v varients because the OP was talking about the 20v.
