Just gave them a call about my 20VT and got it insured with limited mileage (3000) with the wife on it for £176! Unbelivably cheap and came with fully protected no claims, european cover and also breakdown cover all as standard. Superb! All I need to do now is tidy up the coupe and we're rocking the rolling!

Yeah my brother uses them for his Mk1 MR2 insurance and they give him a great deal. They've got pretty strict standard conditions (eg car must be garaged, must be standard etc) but they're upfront about them.

i thought footman james were pretty good untill i saw swivels quote,im 48 years old a paramedic practitioner , 23 years without a claim ,my quote 315 ,elephant 420,what a joke,the explanation for elephants £91.00 hike from last year, more accidents involving fiat coupes.

strange sjay,guessing yours is not a classic policy but standard quote as mine is £330 with 6 points and im 25.

To save me a call, does anyone know whether Footman James insure modified cars. I know Emjay has stated that they don't but has anyone tried insuring a modified coupe?

If you want their classic or modern car policy, one of the express conditions for getting a quote online is: "The vehicle has not been modified from the manufacturer's standard specification"

If you want to persuade them otherwise, pick up the phone and call them. If they say anything to the contrary then share it on here so your effort can benefit others.

It defies me how insurance can change so much dependant on so many different factors.

LOL......i'm 31, been driving more than a decade, 5 years no claims, no conviction or anything, i live 30 seconds away from Brawn GP HQ and they quoted me £750 with a £350 excess for TPFT on a standard 20VT.......I'm currently with Zurich and they have quoted me £400 fully comp with a £50 excess...........................they didn't even recognise our club........i'm insulted

Im 28 with 2 years ncb and i pay £400, was £100 cheaper adding the girlfriend as a second driver, go figure....
