Its been a year and one month today my mate had his car crash in his Punto GT.

We finally got the car back last night but i want to put a pic up on here just to remind people of how bad the road conditions can be.

http://i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq120/marco20vturbo/IMG_0280.jpg

i would never wish this on any one and would hate to know a fellow coupe owner was involved in such a serious crash.

So please people be careful this year and if the weather does get as bad as it suppost to only drive if you need to!

Be safe!

p.s if the modds want to move this please do, i didn’t know where to put this!!

A timely warning. Lots of black ice near me this morning.

Slid into my company car park this morning. Lucky this coop isnt lowered else i would have lost the front bumper. As it was i just grazed the bottom of it on the kerb.

I was doing maybe 10 miles an hour.

Thanks for the shocking reminder there Marco, I count my self lucky that generally if the weather is bad, the car is tucked up nice and safe.

how come it took so long to get the car back?

...and with the shortage of road salt, expect this year to be a little more slippery than otherwise.

Watch the weather closely over the next few months, if it's below freezing avoid unneccessary journeys, or slow right down. Reducing your speed will, at the least, reduce the amount of damage and injury, should you end up in a skid and colliding with something. If you do end up in a skid, if your speed is reduced you may have enough time to save the situation by steering into the skid, or planning your next move.

i cant really go into detail into the accident.

it was a long court proceedure sam...

as for what we are going to do with it, the engine is coming out and getting fully re-built, may be increase the CC and just spend the next 18 months making a 1.4 8v engine 300bhp!

then buy another punto GT for it to go into and build the car for track only!
