Also I believe a fire extinguisher for driving in France. Not sure if it's yet a legal requirement, but worth carrying anway. First aid kit if you stray into Germany.

High vis jacket must be carried inside the car, not in the boot.

Yea, it is a good idea to take one, should be OK, it's a legal requirement in France as there are so many Citroen's, Renaults, etc, lol we're in Italian cars' - laugh

PS - I'm going to book the ferry (convoy guauranteed this way) and pay for all this in January. RE: the stomach juice - I'm hoping for a steady crossing with a calm sea ..... if not, keep AWAY from Patch on boat

Try some of those sea sickness tables Phil, unsure if they work as I don't normally suffer myself but worth it if it makes it a little more comfortable.

Oh and I promise not to eat a fried Full English breakfast in front of you laugh

Check got a new one under cover out back, phew!! Don't fancy staying awake for 48 hours straight again then hitting the Jupiler at the hotel.

So....

What you are saying is Marco and myselfs plan of a couple cans of Red Bull is not going to cut the mustard?

Birds checking out price for the ferry, working in travel she might be able to get it cheaper, perhaps, maybe, with further discount for group booking, maybe, perhaps...

To confirm what's bee mentioned above (steep fine for not having them!) :

REFLECTIVE JACKETS & WARNING TRIANGLES IN FRANCE

The French Road Safety Department has confirmed that:

From 1st October 2008 all drivers in France, including drivers of vehicles registered outside of France, must have one warning triangle and one reflective jacket in their vehicle.

This regulation, which we understand does not apply to two and three wheeled vehicles, will be enforced with on-the-spot fines of between €90 and €135.

Starting to get complicated for my tiny, worn-out brain, and it seems as though the car's going to be full of flippin' safety gear!

In the coupe.
As Pete said before. The reflective jacket needs to be in the car not the boot.2 are advisable.Dont forget the spare bulb set.
Its also a good idea to carry insurance documents, mot cert,Log book.
As my coupe is French registered i have to have these with me .

Would be quite fair IF that would immediately buy you a reflective jacket and triangle. Guess not then.

A check list is good idea Steve, I've contacted a walkie talkie company today to find out what price they can do some radios for so we can keep in contact, when I find out I'll be offering these up as a group buy, they'll come in handy for other meets and road trips smile
