Sorry if this has been covered before but I can't find it.

What tyres are recommended and what speed rating is required.

Cheers

Use the search function for discussion of brands, but Toyo, Goodyear and Falken seem to have the most loyal followings

Also, add an avatar so we know what coupe you have

a good one - i'm using silkolene 10-50 fully synthetic at the moment, will be going over to mobil 1 15-50 at next change just to keep the pressure from annoying me! there are lots of others to choose from but in performance cars the best oil you can afford would be my advice

if you can afford or want to buy in bulk, look in the group-buy section for a poster called oilman - they do some great oils at very good prices, and their advice is always spot on.

proccy, changing to 15/50 won't change your oil pressure as it will be the same thickness when hot. you will need to change to something like a 10/60. Stop worrying about the oil pressure! wink

Also I use Toyo T1Rs at the moment but will be trying Hankooks next time.

yeah i gotta say i dont really bother too much with the pressure, as long as it's topped up properly. if it dropped to half bar or less i would be but until then it's all good - down at flea's tomorrow, i'll see what he has to say but, as i'm standard, i don't expect any great revelations just a smoother drive..

I always used to go for proxy t1r's, then I tried the Continental Sport Contact 2's and much preferred them.

Quite a price difference though.

Nope, other way.

Toyo's are 80ish inc. fitting, Continental's best i found was 112 fitted.

And dont tell me you can get them cheaper, i just ordered two from black circles!!
