As far as i know , there is no info about launch control on the stock ECU .
I`ve found this program, wich is a little expensive but can program the EPROM to launch at 3500rpm...etc
Does anyone know how to modify a bin for launch control ?Is it really posible ?
this is the link for the program .
Thanks

Requires a plug-in daughter board, you can't do this with just the standard ecu/firmware.

It looks from the screendump that the launch control simply retards the spark (and even cuts it at the upper limit) - there's no indication that it alters the fuelling map

Surely, this will lead to unburnt fuel, with all the usual consequences? (ranging from an entertaining popping and banging, through to borewash and a knackered cat)

And that's exactly how LC works. You use the Anti-lag map to do what you have described.

Its labled "ALS fuel correction [%]" but its not really AS important as the spark retard settings, the LC is all so simple.

This is the LC in my OMEX as you can see no need for fuel trim.

That picture is from http://rp-lab.com/ Their site explains how RP Lab works and what they do with your ecu.

yeap ...i`ve mailed them .I was hoping that something like that could have been done from the eprom, but it seems you have to send them the ecu to change the firmware in it,and after that you can use al those functions ,probably just like a standalone ...

when i had an evo 1 last year id bought an ostrich 2.0 which allowed me to run launch control. its plumbed in to your ecu like a chip and had usb connections which allow different maps to be uploaded via laptop but disconnected when driving.
The site where i got all my info from was geekmapped.com, evo321.com, lancerregister.com.
i think the mitsubishi evo 1,2,3 run on 16 or 32 bit encrypted maps or something.
heres the site http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=50&products_id=169

if you want an aftermarket ecu eprom program that allows launch control look into this. im not to sure about coding but managed to upload a few maps before i sold up.

anyway hope someone gets there head round this i thought id share this in case it helps...
