Mmm still not sure. I have used autoglym engine and machine cleaner, worked it in with a dishwasher brush and used carb cleaner to get it off on my water rail and it looks just as clean!!

just had a quick read up on the acf-50 (as i didnt know what it was) and found that it can attack some rubbers, i dont think it will be a problem on the coop though (would it?) http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/bike-tech/14158-acf-50-a.html

if you go to all that trouble, take the exhaust pulley off, & clean & paint, it, as the timing ring WILL rust & cause probs with the hall effect sensor I did a load for Barbz ages ago & had them zinc plated
