Just to give anyone under 25 a warning

I have just been with them for nearly a year for just under £1100 fully comp and they didn't give me a reweal.


Strange I thought and gave them a ring explaining to me they won't touch me till I'm 25. Asking why they said the underwriters at Elephant have changed hands and it's up to them.

Very annoyed as I'm 25 in dec and i'm having a hard time finding people who will touch me. Already had two places said no already. One company said they might touch me if I was female with 15% knocked off which raised an eyebrow.

Might have to get a de-poll and a sexchange from now on just to drive the coupe

Adrian Flux. Oh, and if it isn't modded at all, tell them you have a mod, like a stainless system or air filter, believe it or not, it drops the quote considerably!

yeah elephant are not the best, would insure me for a modded car but wouldnt cover my mods ie my zender kit and would only put things back to standard.

Thats really strange guys because i have been with elephant for 6 years and i have only just turned 25 back in march and had my coop for 2 years and never been charged over £800 for a year. When i renew it in september it will be £450 . If you live with 1 or 2 people try adding them to your poilicy, that bumps it down alot.

thats strange as am 22 and i have fully comp with elephant £640 a year. for the last 2 years or so.

im 23 and i am with elephant i have 5 years no claims and i only pay £532 a year.

I'm a bit older (36) and been with Elephant for several years and cost me £300 full comp on a 20VT, not been able to beat if for years now.

Same for me (even older). Fully comp, zero voluntary, £300 from Elephant year on year.

That's weird, when I got a quote on a 56 reg 350z from Direct Line it worked out cheaper than a standard 20vt

Lets see if I have a similar issue when it comes to renewal time as I'm currently insured with elephant and renewal falls 2 weeks before my 25th birthday.. hmmmm..
