Just read this post - Sorry to hear about the trouble you've had. Sounds like a good result though......
Good luck,
James

Hey James,

Once the car is back up and running I'll take a spin up to the NIIMC meet and say hello to all up there. How's Dixie, which is the name I call your LE by the way because of its reg!. No such woes I hope? I see Stuart sold the his LE and the Martini Integrale too and got a Maser 3200 GT. Nice cool

David

Countrycruising, Eldinho, darmtb, MCMike, evo_number_one, pfoe and Keyjay,

Thanks for the posts. I too think it’s a reasonable deal for both parties. The garage saves the pain of any potential negative publicity etc and I will get my car back to full health sooner rather than later. I’m also glad that the marr of the car’s history will be made up for by the big invoice and service stamp by such a well received independent specialist such as Motormech. I know if I were buying a coupe that had been last worked on by Motormech or PowerItalia it would give me peace of mind.

Really pleased for you mate, shame that you have to pay £500 when it was their fault but at least your coupe will be back to full health smile Best of luck with it.

Thanks Tommy,

Now I'm all impatient wanting to now when it's being shipped to the UK. My future bro-in-law wanted to use the coop as his wedding car on 24th April, but alas there is no chance it'll be back in time. Still I have another wedding in May so I'll make sure it's all shiney for that one.

saw this arrive at motormech yesterday on the back of a car transporter, looking pretty sorry for itself. exhaust hanging off, at least paul and mark made sure the car was taken off gently and with much care.

i know they're working on the engine as we speak, as i've had to have mine trailered there today and this lovely LE is on their ramps - mine will have to wait.....

at least you can be assured these guys will do everything in their power to restore the engine to it's former glory wink

Just saw this thread now Daithi - I would have happily lent my car for the wedding today if I had known!

I'd appreciate a PM with the name of the garage involved - I'm in Dublin too and it'd be good to know who to avoid!

Hey proccy,

just in from the wedding. Absolutely wrecked and quite toasted to say the least!!

So happy to hear the car is at Motormech. Have heard nothing from the Irish garage re: delivery. Glad to hear it's arrived!!!!

Yup, I saw the exhaust hanging from the underside of the car. It's only held in place by a couple of cable-ties. The rest of the exhaust and the rad etc is sitting in the boot!!

Really can't wait to get it back.
