only 1.6 bar when hot on idling

hi guys ! jus gone to saw a coupe but the oil pressure reading only 1.6 bar when hot on idling but once on the move it goes back up to 3.0 bar . can anyone tell me is this good or bad ....

As long as it was very very hot idle that should be OK I think, I dropped to about that back in the summer, whilst sat in traffic on the motor way for 2 hours. Hope that helps

i have seen mine drop to 1.5 bar on a red hot day.. as long it goes to 3 bar when driving.

yeah the fan do kick in . so is fine wont get any worse ? i wont need to rebuild the engine

If the oil has a lower viscosity, the pressure will be lower. 1.6 should be fine. Bear in mind that the oil is thinner when hot. the fact that there is pressure and it increases suggests that the pump is working as it should. Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viscosity

1.5 bar oil pressure reading on 16vt once warm is this good or bad .... once on the move again it goes back to 3

Good for a 16vt.Most are at 1 bar or less.
16vt are renowned to show lower oil pressure due to various issues. But no major problems occur.Mine ran at 1 bar hot and very hot around 0.5 bar. I ve seen it do thge rounds on ebay a couple of times so its still going
