Looking into getting a 16VT and Im going down to look at this one at lunch

http://www.northstarmotorgroup.co.uk/view.asp?ID=9004&ID2=70

Its obviously too expensive especially as its got 95k on the clock and the belt was last changed in 2001 and at 50k! Plus its not leather interior. shocked

What should I be trying to get it for if is in good condition? I was thinking around the £1200 mark but im not sure if they would go that low.

If it's mint with full history and they'll throw in a belt change for the price it may be worth it. 95,000 miles is way below average mileage for a car of this age. You can pick up a leather interior for £200 on here. The lack of aircon and sunroof would be my reason for not buying.
Worth a look if that doesn't bother you.

Ok had a look round the car. The bodywork is in tip-top condition, and so is the interior and engine bay. Definitely looks well looked after, and has a boost guage sat ontop of the dash.

However they did say they wouldn't budge on the price even with the cambelt needing doing which is another £300-£400 ontop of the asking price plus it needs taxing. They did however say they would provide 12 months MOT.

Thus it would work out around the £2500 with everything done which is too expensive for my needs unless I get a loan which I dont really want to do.

Shame because I'd not seen one in red close up and it looked fantastic. I assume though that the skirts had been colour coded at some point as they were the same colour as the rest of the car but a different texture. 16VTs come with black trimming at the bottom dont they?
