Hi!! I am currently looking for a coupe to buy and have been trawling the forums for hours already today! Does anyone recognise or have any advice on this car as a potential daily runner? The history tells that the cambelt was changed in October 2008 (Not sure on the mileage of the change, I will check when I go down to see it). Failing that I may put the extra £1K down and see if I can grab Raven's car in the for sale forum. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200311368768Thanks for any advice, Lee

Get the turbo from Raven, you wont find another 20VT in that condition for that price IMO, and if you buy one for a grand you'll have to budget for twice that in getting it the way it should be.

The big issue here is reliability, and something makes me think that the normally aspirated 16v may give me a lot less heartache.
I can look after a car and am not afraid to spend necessary money to keep it tip top. Is there a big difference in reliability between the turbo and basic?
I have worked on my cars in the past and am fairly confident with the mechanical side (only when i have a workshop manual sitting next to me though!). What extra care/maintenance would I be taking on with a turbo version?
