I can understand about 6% percent of that thread due to the text speak!

They mostly seem to be pretty level headed to be fair to them

Whilst I would be one of the first to condemn those that place Ferrari badges on their Coupé but I can, to a very small extent, understand why they do.

The Coupé was hand built in a Pininfarina factory, in Italy.
The Coupé does have some Ferrari influenced design features.
And
The Coupe does share some small parts with Ferrari

I am sure that if Ferrari had ever decided to make a small affordable car for the masses then the Fiat Coupé would not be too far from what they would have come up with

i agree tartandude, but the "idiots" stand out in there posts by a mile compared to the level headed guys. . . . .

from my own experience with the 106 forum, most of them are top blokes who are indeed very level headed. im not a fan of ferari badges on a coupe

but each to there own i say, if we all liked the same stuff, it would be a truly bland worlds

Haha, that gave me a real chuckle To be fair, i think they were nice about the coupe and seem like quite a good bunch of people, if a little uneducated in the origins of car manufacturers (Fiat are french dont you know, ha?). As for the peugeot 406 coupe and mr2 ferrari comments, the coupe looks far more ferrari like than the both of them, the mr2 only looks like a ferrari with the 355 bodykit on and even then a car enthusiast would be able to tell the difference.....still a hilarious post, the bit where he said he picked up a hitchhiker who smelt of piss and booze was too funny

I agree with the comments above about their comments being fair.

Considering most people turn their noses up at Fiats and most 106 owners are labelled as 'chavs', then their comments are quite nice, friendly and mainly sensible, as well as sticking up for the 'idiot' Coupe owner.

Some of the comments had me roaring laughing and the thread started off ok but got boring towards the end.

An interesting read none the less, good to see the poster being humiliated for calling the coupe driver an idiot due to him disguising his ferrari . . . ermmm I mean Fiat (damn things are so similar) plus the cheeky sod didnt even have the balls to take a picture when the guy came back

I think we should all sign up to the 106 forum and teach him a lesson

That forum's full of kids, there's a bun fight every 6 minutes. I stick to the Rallye forum, apart from when looking for bits for sale - always a bargain to be had on that forum (stainless manifold for £90 for one )

You'd have to spend a SERIOUS amount of money before a 106 got as quick as a Coupe. Which one will be the design classic? The 106 was a pastiche of the 205 and not much better built (I do like the Rallyes, so I'm not biased) Leave the teenagers to it that's what I say. If you wanna see some hideous Pug 106 mods then have a look on barryboys.
