I've used "wobbly bolts" for over 2 years with no issues whatsoever.

I've got some too. I also needed spigot rings to get my alloys to fit.

It's not just about ET and stud pattern , it's about calipers on the way too , that why some people use spacers as well.Even with spacers you might have difficality , you need alloy wheel design that goes around the caliper.
If you look in the TUNING SECTION there is PERFORMANCE PART LIST and you can see which alloy you you'll be able to fit without much hassle. Hope that helps

AFAIK
the standard 20vt wheel offset is 38, 40 offset wheels 'should' be fine. If you buy alloys with a lower offset than 38 then you will need spacers to make up the extra offset to clear the calipers (brembos)
for example;
ET40 should clear ET25 need 15mm spacers to clear
Wobbly bolts will convert the 100pcd to 98 pcd (but they only work upto 4mm difference, 1mm per wheel) they will not convert 108pcd to 98pcd.
Also the centre bore is 58.1, spigot rings can be used to reduce an alloys centre size to the correct size (as long as they are oversized), this recommended but not essential.
Hope that helps

Ninja Centre bore that what i forgot to mention . The wheel always should sit on the hub , otherwise it could be off the centre and give you vibration

AFAIK
ET40 should clear ET25 need 15mm spacers to clear
That's not quite right. A lower offset number means the wheel has less negative offset from the mounting face to the centre line of the wheel. Therefore ET25 'sticks out' of the arches more than ET40 so to speak by 15mm. In terms of 4x98 to 4x100 you also need to look at the hub or centre bore size. The fiat size is 58.1mm, but many alloys offer a 60mm centre bore or similar and a shim is required so that the centre of the alloy sits on the hub. You could conceivably get your hubs machined to 4x100 as a second pattern on the hub although it would take some of the strength away from the hub. Most brake discs would accept this sith a M12x1.25 bolt

I have one question, how long a bolt should/could you use; how long is the threaded section in the hub?
