While a bit bored over the weekend i thought i'll try a car insurance search engine. (forgot which one)
I did the usual name address etc, then mods.
I ticked all the relevent boxes, clicked ok. It then came up i've clicked too many boxes. So i altered it & got only 2 quotes from a possible 50.
1st quote over £1500
2nd quote just short of £5700!!!!!
Now i'm 27, 9 years ncb, no claims/convictions, live in OX17 (the lowest risk area on the insurance thingy)
I do have few mods but i only paid £445 last year.
Where the hell does £5700 come from ?

i think on the search engines as soon as you put down that you have any mods they either wont quote you or just whack the price up, so in other words they dont want to touch you either.
i have learnt it is always best to phone or quote with mod friendly companies.
