A friend of mind made me an offer on a 20VT that I didn't want to reject but... insurance quotes made me almost cry saying no to him! I wanted it so badly but the cheapest I was able too find was with Elephant - £1050 for a totally stadard 20VT \:\( I don't get it... I'm 25, 4 NCB, clean license held for 7 years, UK resident since 2005. Who knows any tricks to get it down to £800? Help, please! I want my 4th coop! \:mad\:

Have you tried all the companies on the recommended list? Did you put a female freind/member of the family on your insurance? I saved over £100 by putting the wife on mine.

Oddly my father & mother both put my premium up, despite their years of NCB / clean licence.

Yes, I have tried all the companies from the list and have tried to put 32year old friend of mine but was told that this will not change anything because I'm the highest risk driver on the policy... \:\/

I got Sky Insurance to quote me £540, as a 2nd car, third party. They cloned my 5yrs NCB. I'm 23 and have 6pts. They also gave me a 20% reduction for being a member of the Supra Owners club - but may well recognise this one too - you should certainly ask (then join here - as it saved me over £100).

It may also help to keep your mileage low - I decided this year that I'd give them an est mileage that's much lower, and increase it if I need it, rather than pay too much and not use all the miles.

Unfortunately, it is probably where you live. London is as bad as it gets, there is a site somewhere which tells you the risk rating. Car parked on street? Do you have a UK licence - if not, maybe time to get one if you can?

Try Noel Dazely, or Chris Knott (if you quote Fiat forum, you get a discount). Similarly Adrian Flux give discounts to fccuk members I think

Thats pretty mad im 24, also with 3 points i had to declare, although not on my licence. 4 yrs NCB, and all mods declared, a fair few. With Greenlight insurance £650, with just myself on the policy.
