7.5j would be better than the 7j as it will fill the arch better .

being 7s as std i thought it would be best to stick to that but some people seem to run 7.5s,i don't know if they rub or not,25et seems to be the one but i don't know if that is with 7s or 7.5s or if it makes a difference?

I used to have Pro-Race 1's on my blue coupe and to be honest they look much nicer as they don't have the tacky "motorsport" logo around the rim. Clicky Click Clickerty These were a 17" et25 with a 7" width.

never knew this was your ex coop jimbo , love the wheels on this !
i agree 1's look so much better than the 1.2s ,
although last time i looked they had stopped making the 1's,you can get hold of them but way more expensive than the 1.2's

i run 18 x 8.5j with 215/35/18 tyre and have no rubbing at all so a 7.5j will cause you no problems at all ,

My car runs these wheels, though it's green. Have a look at the pics on the for sale thread.

I bought it as a standard 20vt with 10K on the clock in 2000. I fitted the zender kit, it did have a chargecooler, miltek exhaust, and a custom downpipe, oh and the wheels and some billys/eibachs. I don't like the centre caps that are on it now though, I fitted some silver flush fit ones that gave it a cleaner look. I spent a fortune keeping it in great condition, it should have come with a folder full of bills Who owns her now ?

Yeah had the folder which I added to with several motormech bills , and a bill for a new wheel as one cracked I know the caps you are on about, there was one missing on the car when I bought it and the previous owner couldn't find the same ones so had sourced some different ones. I put it up for sale on pistonheads in June and it had sold within a week, the guy had it shipped over to Ireland without even seeing it in the flesh. Easiest car sale I've ever had to do lol. I miss it though, by far the best car I have owned. I thought about spraying the wheels black but changed my mind in the end.
