you'll never get that \:\(

Most of the things that make it worth it are only known to people like us, trading it in will just get you a book number. Ages ago my 98 20VT was offered £800 p/x (although not as nice sounding as yours)

I'd be inclined to want £2k min, car buyers can afford to be quite bullish at the moment, so just make sure you get what you want for it.

Have you advertised it for sale on here?

no, looking for a very quick sale though so depends, might just take 1.5 for it, i will not go below that, i will stand my ground.

If i dont get what i want for it i might put it on here.

Just checked parkers and it says:

Independent Dealer £2,310
Private Good £2,000
Private Poor £1,345
Part Exchange £1,805

So i would be inclined to want over 1.5 after that, but we'll see, will keep you posted :-)

But they're selling prices, trade in will be well down on those \:\(

I guess it depends if you're prepared for the hassle of a private sale to make a potential £500 by the sounds \:\?

Good luck with it anyway, what you looking at changing to?

Another helpful comment Rosso145.

You need to keep your head down a bit, you are making no friends.

I'm after a car, not friends to be honest. \:\)

Haha, I had no idea that Hemel was now north london \:D

I saw you yesterday on leighton buzzard road about 4pm. Thought you were changing up too early personally, but you stil had a nice little "psst" when you changed ;\)

Good Luck with the sale

(I would mention when the cam belt was last done , oil cooler/pipes last looked at and any wishbones that have been done lately)

Difficult to judge what is going on with prices at the moment dude. I am looking at selling my sprinty at some point this year which is the almost the same as yours, except for having a gtec1, 87k on the clock and a little more work needing doing to bring it back to be a good'un.
I have been expecting to sell it for next to nothing or if I am lucky get some reasonable trade-in price towards my next car (fn2 civic type r GT) but as the market is so screwed up, I am expecting the worse? I dread selling cars privately!
I would say your one was worth 2k but that would a valuation based on the market being, well not exactly strong like it was 18 months ago, but certainly a lot better than it is now.
As it stands, I fear you will get far less friend, I hope not because then I'm in trouble as well but that is my gut feeling. The market has never been this bad, ever.
