NGK every time
BKUR6ET for standard and lightly modded
BKUR7ET for up to about 300 - 330bhp
BKR7EIX for up to 375bhp
BKR8EIX for 400bhp +
All estimates and all IMHO
I know it's an old post, but I'd like to add NGK part numbers, sometimes search for BK*** codes doesn't yield results.
BKUR6ET - NGK Stock No: 6437, "Standard" range - copper plug, 3 electrodes
BKUR7ET - NGK Stock No: 7873, "Standard" range - copper plug, 3 electrodes
BKR7EIX - NGK Stock No: 2667, Iridium IX Range
BKR8EIX - NGK Stock No: 2668, Iridium IX Range
Are there any benefits or downsides on running colder (BKUR7ET) or colder Iridium (BKR7EIX) spark plugs on stock or nearly stock (eg. remap up to 1.2bar, without other mods) 20vT?
- lumpy idle?
- worse mpg and/or emissions test?
- longer lasting?
Any experience with NGK Platinum (roughly same price as Iridium)?
