I have just been looking around on various places at the price of Coupe's and it appears the prices have edged back up again.
This is great news for owners of course, but why has it happened?
Is it because fuel prices are dropping, or is it becasue people no longer feel their savings are safe so they are spending them instead?
What do you all think?
Simon.

I have noticed this as well but this does'nt mean that they will sell for that price, you can ask for what you want really; but it does'nt mean your going to get it Ben

The average Coupe is cheap at twice the price anyway for the looks, performance etc.

I feel less guilty about spending money on my car if the prices are on the way back up. Its so depressing spending lots of money on a car getting in order only to find it's worth less than what you paid 6 months ago before it was sorted.

i think its fallen to a price were there (bar insurance) oforable by almost every one..
problem is that the running costs are huge, as are the repair bills (comparability to other cars of age)
i have seen it time and time again some one gets a coupe, keep it for a week/month, and have to sell again, some times because they didnt check the insurance first, or got there first service bill, or took 1 look at the mpg and run away

I think demand for good quality Coupe's has risen - especially special late editions like the 20VT plus. Dealers selling these cars can raise their prices as they offer a warranty and have usually checked and repaired any problems with the car. Private sellers might find things more difficult.
Good 20VT's will continue to rise in value now as they are becoming scarce and are destined to become a 'cherished classic' like the Austin Healy 3000 etc. I am just worried that as coupe's become scarer specialists will dissapear off the map. Without the likes of Motormech and Power Italia Coupe's will quickly become extinct.
