Today I drove passed another coupe so I flashed and waved and then we were next to each other and he gave me the most evil look. Normally people are nice when you flash/wave but maybe there's a new generation of coupe owners out there!

That may have been one of the Chavs that have bought Coupes.

You know the type, they pick the car up cheap run it until it stops then break it.

I think it's nice when you see another coupe and you flash to say hello and at least we all have one thing in common

I don't see many where I'm from (even though others do on here!) and in my opinion, the Fiat Coupe is a one off car and it's why I picked it.

I'm yet to meet a chav in a Coupe. Cheap french or Japanese car's are normally a target audience for them.

Actually - the same thing happened to Mr L and I in Ashover a few months ago. We saw a fellow coupe driver and we did the customary wave but he totally ignored us! Even worse - he had the audacity to be wearing a cap!!

I've actually waved at one, the driver waved back. I seen one in Liverpool as well when I was in my M3, and I chased him and told him to come on here, I can't remember if he ever registered though. I've just had a realistic insurance quote on my Coop though, so as soon as it's had it's cambelt service, I'll drive to Bangor and wave at you Karl!

I've driven past Coupe owners giving a flash and wave, to be met by a purely blank, "huh?" expression. Some people don't realise that there's this etiquete with other drivers to acknowledge our stunning motors...

That hits the nail on the head really. It may be strange for us to get used to but I think there's a few owners out there who aren't aware of this place and our etiqutte.

On my way to work from my old house I used to pull out of a junction onto a main road either just in front or just behind another coop pretty much every day. The older guy who had it never once looked in my my direction despite letting me out sometimes. Once he even had to wait for me to get back in my car as I'd been to the newsagents so he was stopped right next to me as I feebly smiled over at him whilst getting back into my car. He still blanked me.

Mind you, my old car had a bodykit and afermarket wheels on it so he probably thought I was a chav. Either that or he was just thinking "Why on earth should I wave to you. Why should I be your friend just because we drive the same car? Loon!"

Anyway to the bloke who had the Scots Green 'S' Reg 20V n/a and went to work along West Auckland Road out of Darlington.

When I had my coupe I always got acknowledged by other coupe owners. A nod, wave or flash of the lights. It does make you feel like your driving something special and part of an elite club.

I think the funniest time was when I was driving side by side with a bus, we stopped at the lights and I heard a shout, so wound the window down and the bus driver was saying he owned a coupe and was saying he liked the bodykit (zender) and asking where I got it from. We were having a nice chat about how good the coupe is for about 5 mins, meanwhile the lights had changed and we were holding up lounds of traffic lol

I often wave at other Coupes arond Macc, but the three I see occasionally just blank me. So I don't bother now if it's one I recognise.....

There are a few coops in my area that ignore me. One was at PowerItalia the other day. Sitting in the chair when all of the fccukers were outside nattering. He eventually walked out having ahd a service and marched past everyone before pootling off. I think he was running on 4 cylinders or something?

Weirdly there's a guy who lives right near me with an electic blue with bodykit that always waves, flashes or indulges in a little tear-up... but he isn't on here? Shame, if he knew he could mod it a little, it might be a little closer
