Having had a good look round, and a passenger ride, in a CSL today I'd have to say that I've changed my mind and would take one over the Cayman. The carbon roof, engine noise and race interior just does it for me. Four seats are also useful.

Would I swap the LE for one? No...not after what I've just spent on it. I'd keep the LE and store it. I think when the CSL hits low £20k I'll take the plunge. I'd imagine 6 months time.

Probably more than 6 months, but we'll see. Great car though, I believe they may be a pain to insure though - so check this out!

If it helps the thread I think that the cayman is better looking than the 911. The S Sport version is very nice as well. and a cayman is much rarer around canary wharf as well

The only places that the coupe is better than a cayman is that its a lot cheaper (to buy, run and insure) and it has four seats.

however the big thing for me is the coop is now coming up to classic status and as such the few remaining need the care and attention of enthusiasts...its all about nuts and bolts i guess,thats the pleasure for me.i also own a relitavley new supercharged merc and this also is a great car but i'm affraid until its no longer a current model and while you can still readily obtain parts all the fun has gone,and it has to go into the dealer for service or repair.i
have rebuilt 3 cars before namley old m.gs and t.rs i find the coop a little challenging but isn't that why we do it.
theres nothing better than a modern car,but theres some wonderful old ones too.
the boss left the porker for almost a month,and i had to use it for work,rigger boots 'n' all and it was a wonderful experience.
