We had the first of many (hopefully) cumbrian mini meets today There were 8 forum members from cumbria invited and we had 6 attend with only a week to organise which was pretty good. The idea was to have a meet with a smaller number than the bcm so it`s possable to have a good crack with everyone We met up at the Agricultural hotel Penrith and had full english breakfast then talked coups cars holidays weddings allsorts, then we went out for a look round the cars then a drive up to Hartside cafe on one of the best roads in the country Due to ScaLE working(Chef in the Agi) and Jef being half way through fitting a new oil cooler and pipes(came in his van)Rhubarb (working in Agi) only 3 cars made it to the top. Turned out to be an interesting drive as it was wet and i had track tyres(pirelli corsas) and Rob40 had 400bhp and no traction control Parked the car`s up for a few pic`s then went for tea and cake`s, the cake`s were HUGE! Then we went back down and Rob took Jef for a blast in his while Angelo Robs son jumped in with me and Ruth drove Bunflashes LE down carefuly Good day had by all so there will be another CMM soon Some pic`s Coupe lineup at Pub New owner ScalLE `s LE Hartside cafe lineup Rears Back seat drivers Ruth an Bunflash on way down Hartside Thanks for comming Dave

If you give me a shout the next time Dave then i`ll see if I can pop down to the next mini meet as there is far too many red Coops in those pics, needs a bit more Sprinty Blue . If I'd have known that it was happening Baz, I'd have been there myself to wave the Sprinty Blue flag.

Would come across the border for the next one too!! Right guys we need to rebuild the wall as quick as we can! well i was thinking the next one may venture over the border next time But as you will have seen the cumbrian mini meet is all in the title not too big so as to be able to have a good crack with every one and makes traveling in a convoy easyer ;)dont need to find a pub with a huge car park/having to book tables etc and it can be done in short notice with little planning.(i`m lazy) I think the big coup meet should be at most x2 times a yr as any more will devalue the expeirience, the first one was a real eye opener seeing 30 coupes in convoy I think the mini meets should stay mini with us local (yocals)inc stan

Surely there's a good few coops just north of the border, enough for a meet? How about organising a Scottish meet, i'm sure the cumbrian clan would take a venture up north for the day.
This is how it should have come out of Torino!

Well as far as I know i`m the only Coop in Dumfries and Galloway (that`s on the forum anyway) now that Daz broke his Coop . Baz

We don't need no stinkin' Scots interlopers, especially non-coupé owning ones! A 20v isnt really a coupe tho is it? Ross
