I want my coupe to be as low as possible, it sits in the clouds and i don't think a 40mm drop is going to ease my pain.

can you guys recommend anything?

Ideally i'd like to be able to clear a domestic brick and no more. I don't want to be able to clear a can of coke standing upright.

what size alloys you have, what size profile is the tyer?

i wouldn't want to drop below 40mm as speed bumps are a pain in the ass already. i think any more than that is going to cause way more problems than the looks would justify

thats true, i have a drop of 30mm and id love to go more but i catch some speed bumps on the exhaust because that sits a bit low, i try as much as possible to go between speed bumps but obviously that cant happen all the time, im sure some people have dropped slightly lower than 30mm from pics of cars on here but i dont know how they get round the exhaust problem. If someone can explain then that would be good

I think 30mm is about the maximum you can drop the Coop to be usable everyday in our speed bump mad country .

Also at 30mm the driveshafts are pretty much horizontal which I imagine is good for reducing wear in the CV joints ,any lower then I would imagine you would need to install some hydraulics to allow you to clear obstacles on the road .

cheers lads, they're just normal tyres on it. it would look so good with a massive drop but i understand the bumps would be a pain. in it's standard form my mechanic can't get the car on his ramp so maybe i'm asking for trouble.

if you cant get a car on the ramps, just drive onto 2 blocks of wood to raise it a few inches

also if you struggle getting over bumps, try and go over them at an angle so you dont scrape the exhaust as much"

I think mine was dropped around 50mm at the front and around 35 at the rear on my coilovers.

Mine's lowered 40mm all around and find it's ok on most speed bumps as long as I go over on the side of it.

Why? You wont be able to get on most car ramps. Jacking the car up will be a pain, you'll ground it on speedbumps, and if you have LE lips on the car they'll last 5 mins.

The handling and ride of the car will also be VERY poor as the setup is the same as a tipo, but already lowered. If you lower it much more then the wishbone angle is completely wrong for handling purposes.

IMO 30-35mm is the limit as a compromise.

the guy who was selling the arb in the group buy told me that the best setup hight for the coupe was std,but for looks i like the low look
