Finally we had a dry weekend so I decided to spend a few hours leaning the car then polishing with Carlack68 and waxing it with Collinite 476s from here .

Not too sure how much effect the Carlack had TBH because the pad stayed fairly clean (maybe my paintwork was actually quite clean?). The wax is really good though, pretty thick stuff and really added a lot of depth to the colour

Looks nice, did you polish by hand or did you use an orbital?

Thought of adding some high gloss wax on top?

Thanks, it was all hand done °\( to be honest after washing it and using the carlack last night I had a break then waxed it this morning. I went for the Collinite because they reckon it is one of the longest lasting wax out there. Hopefully that'll take care of it for a few weeks!

Yeah I've got some Collinite ready to go on mine. One day I'd like to go the whole hog and do a layer or two of collinite followed by a layer of ultra high gloss...

Looks sweet btw.

i need to put a gloss on mine. I spent the day doing the same and i have to say im very disappointed with the meguiars polish, there special wax was great, easy to put on and take off. there polish is quit frankly s*** IMOP. i tried with a mashen polisher as well as by hand

Oooh very shiny Webbo

I did my little brum-brum with collinite's 476S on thursday, very pleased with the result, I've never known 14 year old paint come up so well, very vivid red

Collinite's malc

I've had better shine from waxes before, but NONE so longer lasting. I last waxed the coupe in August and it's took until a few weeks back for the water to stop beading. Very durable!

Coopless!

\:D well noted stan.

The bood lid had to be replaced and the new lid had the badge there for some reason. No probs I thought, I'll just take it off, except the paint was faded under the badge so I had to replace it with a new one °\(

Skirts....nooooo....money.....pain \:\(

I'm another user of Collinite 476S. Its durability is just amazing which is far more important than its ultimate shine.
