Hey guys, well as you may have read in another thread, I am now the proud owner of DanDan's yellow 16vT, so thought I'd better say hi!

Must say, when driving it back from Boston to Norwich, I was shocked at the sheer power of the thing; but then, I am used to a little MGF! (no im not a hairdresser....)

Just out of curiousity, it is normal for the temp. gauge to rise and fall slightly in and out of traffic?

Look forward to coming to the next Anglian meet \:\)

Just joshing . I already posted twice on your thread \:\)

Welcome to the forum matey. I'm sure I've seen Dan dans car in the flesh somewhere. Mayby at one of the Lakes do's \:\)

Can't answer for sure on the temparature question but it sounds reasonable to me. Would climb a bit if you were in traffic.

Hullo and welcome, good to see the 16vt's still going strong.
Temp guage thing sounds fairly normal just keep an eye on the coolant levels for the next couple of weeks.
Oh and of course CHECK YOUR OIL! ;\)

Yes - I remember the time my temp gauge started climbing in queuing traffic on the motorway. It didn't stop climbing until eventually smoke started billowing from underneath the bonnet!! 2 fire engines came out to me tho so that was nice . . . . hmmmmm firemen! \:D

Aye have been checking the coolant levels regularly....remember, I have a K-series in my MG ;\) so force of habit!

Ahh thats oki then, was getting worried something mightve been wrong with the thermostat, although its been replaced...perhaps its me being a bit paranoid.

Aye they're not so bad, but its nice to be able to talk to my passenger when doing 70mph without the effect of being in a tent on top of a hill in a gale!

Well I can think of my first upgrade from the response in the thread...and they come in pairs \:P

Being married I have no interest in saying 'hi' to Pitsy :D, so I'll say 'hi' to Callum instead \:P

Check your oil! I check mine every day. Mostly because its constantly dripping on the floor.

probably same reason as me, much cheaper to insure, and a good one costs about 2k less than the 20vt!!

I love the sound of the 16v'ers as much as the 20vt's. They have a maniac 4 pot scream when on song!

Well basically, I'm good friends with Dan, always admired his car (he got it the same place, and the same time as my MG...which would explain a lot, but thats a different story.....)

So really its just the fact that he was replacing his, I made an offer for his banana (thankyou student loan...) and here we are!
