Hi i just had a quote for this new pay as you go insurane with norwich union as i only want to use the coupe on weekends and the odd sunny day. I was quoted £260 appox on 1500 miles per year on a 20vt with legal cover and protected bonus im 39 with 3 points the wife is also on it at 34 with no points £270 excess (could get lower for a price)it worked out at £81 up front then monthly payments of £15 approx depending on useage (base charge of £13 even if i dont drive it)this includes the GPS system that the RAC fit at your home. The added bonus is if someone nicks the car the insurance company know exactly where to send the police to. Even if i do 2500 miles it would be cheaper than an anual policy. Great if like me you use a company car for general use.

Do you really want a system on your car that tracks your movements however much you save?

as long as im not doing anything illegal i dont see the problem as long as i dont speed to much and they cant turn the information over to the law. its for there own use.

Now you are putting doubt in my mind, have checked out quotes elsewhere and received a quote from AON at less than £150 for comp, limited mileage, but needs to have a thatcham 1 fitted.

Does anyone know where I can get a thatcham 1 fitted for under £200 ?

I am looking for exactly the same kind of policy and just went onto the AON website and they quoted £893. What was the website address?
