Following the post a week or 2 ago about making a real go of the FC Club, i thought i'd act a bit on one of my suggestions to try and get a meet at a raceday, which is more family orientated.
I contacted Brands Hatch and asked them if they could give us an 'exclusive' area for us all to park etc, for anyone arriving in a Coupe.
They have replied as follows:
"It would be great if the Fiat Coupe owners have a regional meeting at Brands Hatch. What we can offer you is an exclusive area, for Fiat Coupe owners only, to park inside the circuit free of charge on a car club race day. This would be the gravel area on the right hand side as you enter the circuit from the main entrance.
Tickets will be £10 per adult, if booked in advance, and children 12 years and under get in free. Please note that the free parking will only be available to people who drive to the circuit in their Fiat Coupe"This was in relation to club races, (i.e. not the national ones) which there are plenty of, including Fiats (see further down)
I then asked about BTCC (Touring Cars) in March and September:
"We can offer you the following for either BTCC race weekend at Brands Hatch 29/30 March 20/21 September:
Weekend Southbank parking for only £5 per car.
Only Fiat Coupe club members who drive to the circuit in their coupe will be allowed access. Adult admission tickets will need to be purchased. If you let me know how many parking passes the club wish to purchase and I will post them for you to distribute"For those who dont know, the southbank is within the perimeter of the circuit.
Just thought i'd let everyone know as it could be good for a club meet if its formed in time, or to promote FCCUK. I am not a member of the club as i'm waiting to see whats going to happen, but thought i'd do some research anyways!
It might be better for September, but good to know we can do it! I've made similar enquiries for
