Is this purely stuck down, or does it have pins attaching through the bonnet?

Has anyone removed one without having the bonnett resprayed

I think someone mentioned on a previously thread (search for 'debadging the coupe') that it had two pins aswell.

Even if you could take it off and not leave holes behind it, isn't the area recessed down a bit? So it would look silly without a respray anyway IMO:

It actually has a threaded pin/pins (can't remember whether there are one or two) and you have to undo a nut underneath to remove it.

Leaves a dirty great big recess with the appropriate number of holes in it.

just undo 2 bolts that hold it on but it will need filling & respaying the whole bonnet

As BigIan said I had mine removed just recently and as also said its screwed on and you do have to fill the hole and get repainted. As I was getting a bodykit on it was a no brainer, but even with out the kit its a worth while mod. Wait until your bonnet is really stonechipped and you will have a good excuse .

Im prob going to take mine off, clean it a little wher eit used to be, fill it using body putty, let it harden and smoothen off and then stick the number plate off that ill get made up so i can start some choppy choppy action on the front bumper for more air flow

KingPleb you'll be asking for trouble with the law if you mount your plate on the bonnet ( E Type style ).

Number plate on the bonnet I dont care about getting in trouble with the law or increase in airflow as it would just look terrible IMHO. You could have holes in your bumper under the number plate then just remove the plate when youre at a track day.

I still stick by my word that a number plate on the bonnet will look crap, shite, and just wrong. Believe me i looked at this already and when i saw a picture of a number plate on the bonnet i changed my mind very quickly!

How about an "evo style" square one off centre?? That would surely look nicer than a stick-on one on the bonnet.

Why not just get a custom sized plate made up so it wont block and holes ?

Here's one I prepared earlier

I think you would get in more trouble with the law with the small plates over it being on the bonnet. No prizes for guessing which looks better .
