Looking good Si ! Do you happen to know what slider they used on the rear calipers? It looks perfect for my DIY kit . Also, what is the significance of the arrow on the front caliper? If it is supposed to be the direction of travel for the disc in forward gears, haven't you got the calipers on upside down? It may make no difference, but I know that the Brembos have to go on a certain way round to ensure that the pistons are aligned appropriately for the leading and trailing edge of the pads. Phil

Dunno - will look tomorrow, but not sure how I can mount them any other way unless the bleed screws point downwards. Did you get my diagram of the slider?

Not sure on cost as I paid for development time as well - not including the wheels was a little over 2K.

It won't be a cheap upgrade as you need bigger wheels too.

Si, yes, I got the diagram of the slider. Thanks ! That price actually sounds reasonable to me, if it includes the wheels & tyres to upgrade to 17s as well . Phil

Ah, that'll teach me to read your post properly in future ! Hmm, £2k without does seem like quite a bit . Still, I'm sure that they will prove worth it once you get a chance to try them out properly on track . Phil

2k does include development costs, so maybe 1.5/1k to us?

I would have thought so - they do have a price list on their website: http://www.compbrake.co.uk/I can speak to them about prices - but I'd rather do so when it's all been tested + lines sorted out etc.

Also, what is the significance of the arrow on the front caliper?
Spoken to them about this - it's fine the way I've done them.....phew! Good spot though!

Oh good, I was hoping that it wasn't anything significant. It just seemed odd to have an arrow on there for no reason ! Phil

Wow, those are big boy brakes for a big boy I can feel a track day coming on P.S. and you Jonny!!! Yep give me some time to sort the Alfa, the work is in full flow now The coop would last half a lap on standard disc and pads so it'll have to wait

suba two questions: is it OK not to have the small 12mm bolt with the pin on top (you know the one that helps you put the alloy back in place on the front rotors? I mean, the way they are now, as soon as you remove the wheel, the rotor is on the air (not that it can go anywhere...) At the rear, are you using your stock calipers and swapped the sliders (or whatever they are called that Phil was asking)? Looks very good, first impressions (you must have bedded them by now ) cheers V.

was the 2k for the front and rear brakes?
I'm looking to improve the front brakes in the near future, but I have the Tarox kit at the rear so I'm happy with that!

suba two questions:
is it OK not to have the small 12mm bolt with the pin on top (you know the one that helps you put the alloy back in place on the front rotors? No - there is nowhere for the locator studs to go. Easy enough to locate the wheel if you use the stud in the Fiat toolkit with the spare wheel. For the answers to your other questions please re-read my first post on this thread.

Yes - for both front and rear. dont forget you'll need the same or similar wheels as me for the brakes to fit - no chance at all with the standard wheels.
