Glad to hear you're keeping the coupé Chris. As for mods - cooling, turbo, exhaust & fuelling. £459 - ProAlloy FMIC (possibly cheaper on a GB) £700 - GT28RS (ATP Turbo) £400 - Blueflame 5 stud exhaust £150 - Walbro fuel pump & direct battery feed for pump. You'll also probably have to change brakes and clutch. Oh and no boostie boostie until you get that chip changed.

Here we go then! Leave the car as it is until you have got enough money to go for the spec that you want, then go the whole hog at once.

What is your target? You also need to ask yourself if you really want to go there with a coupe - once you've done it you wont make the money back.

LOL - how reliable do you want the car to be, and how do you want the powerband to be?

How quickly the turbo comes on boost and the car becomes usable. Basically, there are two ways to increase power:
1) Whack a bigger turbo on it
2) Conventional engine tuning (cams/headwork/exhaust/etc.)
The cheaper option is 1). But, the car will only really get going at higher rpms than option 2) So do you want something that isn't as hairy at the redline, but is very drivable, or something which takes a while to get going, but turns mental when it does.

if you're going for 2, then there's also a lot less stress on the engine.... You could always combine both options! What you really need to ask yourself is do you just want a faster car, or a faster coupe? If you want 350 bhp then there are better base cars to use with more traction and you wont have to spend as much money to extract the power.
