Picking up one of the nippers mate this evening I had a strange encounter. I was talking to her step dad when one of the guys working on some cars next door asked if my exhaust was fitted at pipecraft. Yes I told him and he laughed and said it was him that had done it. He'd also done the de-cat too. Apparently he fitted over 30 of them to coops in a 3 month period, that'll be Rog's powerfiat system
Anyways he got talking about mine and he said he knows how fast they are as there a a few in the area, one in particular is rapid. I said I couldn't think of any in the 'immediate' area that were probably quicker than mine so I can't think who it could be. He got talking about the cars he and his dad have been doing up and showed me a few mk1 300zxs apparently one pushing 310bhp.
Somehow we got onto his mates, one with a Renault 21 turbo that is real quick, it's beaten scoobies and a cossy before (the cossy encounter is on the cossy forum apparently). I said I'd had a good blast with one once and said I could believe that with a few mods they would probably be fast if not for the weak gearbox. He then got on to another mate with a Renault 9 (??) that is apparently pushing 150bhp but weighs well under 700kgs and that I should have a blast with him some day for a comparison. He had had a tear up with another Red 20vT near toomeys at a meet and beat it!
We were flapping on about other stuff for a bit before he got thinking and asked what colour the Renault 21 I had beaten was. Dark grey or black. He suggested Graphite black (or similar) and asked if I had doubled back to follow a couple of lads in one of that colour. Yup, it was me
As per here When he told his mates I had beaten 'Mark's' car, they all stopped working to have a chat... He's running 16psi with a chip, straight through exhaust and air filter.
