Hi guys and gals,

I need your advice on my situation!

2 months ago I damaged my drivers side wheel and split my tyre due to some misfit stealing a drain cover in the road!

I made my claim for a new alloy wheel, tyre and tracking to my local council and they passed it onto their insurers. Just got a letter today saying they will pay all costs if I supply receipts and my insures details! Great I hear you say BUT I didn’t want to claim through my insurers as I had a spare wheel anyway and wanted to put the money towards having my bodywork done (scratches etc).

Man that must of been one strong or desperate gypo to steal that manhole cover. Thats a whopper!

Are you sure they want to claim on your insurance? If for example your third party they wouldnt pay anway would they?

I'm going to give them a ring tomorrow! My problem is I don't really want to buy a new wheel and tyre! I'd rather recondition my current alloys!
