Just a mention kind of unrelated to your shopping list but your Avatar has you as owning a moon or vinci grey LE. On your shopping list u mention getting an LE bodykit.

I'm guessing therefore that your avatar is incorrect?

Lowering + 18" wheels + speed bumps won't mix. Contrary to many on here, I wouldn't change pads or discs, just make sure that the front calipers are in good condition.

If you're doing anything with the rear brakes, then I'd replace the handbrake cables at the same time.

wouldnt bother repaling rears brakes with anything but the standards so save some money.replace the hand brake cables tho.go for 17s.and watch lowering with le kit also to watch the front of the car on raised curbs etc

Is the car for track use?

Else redstuff would be more than enough with that sort of power.

I would also fit greenstuff to the rears.

Ok no the car is not for track use but i do like to drive hard and fast when condotions permit.
the reason im getting front disc and pads is they are both passed there sell by date and was going to use yellow stuff for less brake dust and there only a £5.00 more
as for my rear disc they are ok was just going to replace so they match "ok also hope for a little more bite" but the pads need replacing.maybe look at green stuff
as for my handbrake it spot on
Really would like the car a little lower, handle better, and look better, hence the Springs Eibach Pro-Kit spring 30mm
really would like some advice on dampers to go with these or can i just swap springs ???
as for wheels you can see i have mentioned refurb and new rims was going to see what it looked like after was lowered if ok was just going to get myoriginal rims refurbed as i really like them otherwise will now look at 17in rims

Thanks Dave

Oh one more thing is it most peoples thinking to leave the standard air box in place " i think this is right" but not sure if to give it a few holes in the side????

With regards to the airbox, mine was already drilled when I bought it. I've had the coop 5 months now and apart from 1 week, the holes have been taped over. \:\)

I found I lost a bit low down and the induction roar made it sound like it was struggling on hard acceleration. I prefer the quiet approach when accelerating hard. \:D

Just my opinion but try to listen to one before you drill yours. I've been advised by lots of people on here to upgrade to a K & N Panel Filter but not to go for an Induction Kit.

On the subject of suspension, I think it was Colin Chapman (of Lotus fame) who said the best handling set up was uprated dampers with standard springs? I tend to agree with comments on lowering - I've got a Zender front bumper with standard springs and have scraped the bumper twice already. \:\(

not sure about ebc pads having never used them,

a lot of people on here use pagid pads.

i used to have pagid blue front pads but have since changed to red dot racing fast road pads as part of a group buy.

BIG MISTAKE. as soon as ive a bit more cash (being a skint student, lol!) im going to go back out and buy some more pagids. didnt think there would be that much difference, but they really are worth the exta cash.

see if anyone on here can compare them to yellow stuff pads.

I use Carbotech pads. They are almost the same as Pagid and work really good on the track. Don´t forget to change brake fluid ;\)

Instead of drilling your air box I recommend an Apexi cone filter. That and a Gtec1 can give you as much as 260 hp.

Go for Azev type C. I have 17" and 215/40 Goodyear tyres. Can´t complain ;\)
