look in the parts for sale section for a second hand supersprint rear box that's a few years old + get a new mid section for £100 quid from AA. £150 quid + fitting for a good exhaust that will last a few years.

Ali - i hear a decat MAY shorten the life of your turbo if you have a standard one.

There's no MAY about it - the seals on the standard turbo just aren't up to it.

I heard a selection of exhausts at the recent SRR RR day and for me the Pipecraft on Yellafella's car was the nicest at idle/low revs. Sort of a refined woofle like something Italian and exotic so in keeping with the Coop's character.

I've finally got my Scorpion fitted correctly and its growing on me. Its turned out to be quite refined on the Motorway and gives a nice burble at idle. It sort of makes the Coop sound like a Rally Audi Quattro on full throttle. I'll post some pics and sounds soon.

Ive not got a decat. It still sounds quite loud. Maybe not quite as loud as Rog's but its still enough to set up half the car alarms at work.

Not sure if I could live with it any louder. Have a respectable career during the week

No still got my cat. De-cat would be far too loud for me and the legal side of it worries me a bit.

Hi All

I'm now in the market for new exhaust

Quote:

Blueflame are going to be doing a cat back for the coupe in 3-4 weeks. £225 deliverd.
Si

Anyone know any details about this ?

I emailed them via ebay and they said they don't do a cat back.

I don't want to spend a fortune either like the OP, £250 sounds like a good max price, so far I've found:

Cybox - one box, ss

AA - OEM, steel

Fast fit retailers - steel

PowerFiat - one/two box, ss, can't deliver

What other choices are there ?

Cheers

Stoopid...

Don't know about any other suggestions Stoopid but i can highly reccommend the PowerFiat one. I have one box with a decat aswell and it sounds the dogs!

The fit is excellent too, as i've heard others have fitting issues (IIRC the cybox/Peco one??)

I've heard that about the Cybox one which is putting me off plus that fact I've never heard of them before....

Anyone know how much a Peco cat back system will cost me ?

No. Blueflame do though, about £350 IIRC but I'm not sure how you fit a Cat on this one come MOT time.

The PF is cat-back for £220 plus they do a decat for £50. They don't do a downpipe but Highwayman is sorting a 2.5" one from H&S, hopefully under £200.

Edit: they're both for 20vt, not sure about 16vt

A wee bit more cash but can have a sports cat in it for an extra £64. Think this is the blueflame one as its the same pic and price as the blueflame ad!!

The Cybox is made by Peco - it is a rebadged Peco SS exhaust

There are quite a few people on here who have Cybox/Peco exhausts

A couple of people did experience fitting problems, but Peco appear to be very helpful in sorting these out (but I appreciate its hassel you can well do without)

I have one and it fitted perfectly first time - pretty happy with it
