Coupe has run like a dream since I bought her from Marc, going to look at a 20vt tomorrow so what happens today?

Go to work in coupe this morning - fine.

Come home - fine.

Take kids out to local play adventure place, driving through town, Mr hothead in a newish Astra pulls up alongside & tears off - let the sad pleb go & drive on cursing. \:mad\:

Get to derestricted road, coupe feels a bit flat \:\?

At roundabout come to standstill, lumpy idle \:s

Sit watching kids in play area (all time thinking £££££££, why now!)

Get home, feels like a 1.0 not a 2.0, thats what it was!

Pulled off leads, 1 & 4 off no diff, slapped on spare coil - no diff, checked igniter module - plug slightly off on LHS! \:\)

Relief!!!

Really is a good un, just sulking because i'm thinking of changing. \:D

Cheers Carl, If I had somewhere to store it would be tempted to keep as sure the rarity of the 16vt being only in UK for less than 2 years will be sort after in a few years.
Have got a set of mint wheels lined up (taken off about 5years ago for aftermarket ones, maybe the ones for this car???)
If the 20vt isnt what I expect of a 1 owner car then will probably not bother.Going to do a compression check & a good poke about for sure.
\:D
Peter.
