Can you have wider wheels on the rear than the front?

Just buy wider tyres for the back than on the front if you really wanna do it. I remember, way back in the day, when I had a Metro GTa, wanted to mod it in a few ways and just bought wider tyres for it all round. No need to change wheels...unless you wanna go insanely wide!! Think I went from 155 to 185...looked much better. Of course you're inceasing friction here, thus (in theory) slowing your motor down.

I have been thinking the same thing to give the coupe a cool wide look from the rear.
Also (in theory) more friction more grip in the dry.

More grip in the back means more understeer. I personally don´t think that is what the coop needs

So putting say 205 width at the front and 225 or 235 at the rear is going to vastly increase understeer

If I saw a front wheel drive car with wider rear wheels I'd laugh my @rse off at the plonker who did it.
