This info is from a website on turboing honda Vtec B18C-H22A motors so about the same cc rating

Anyway, I am looking to upgrade the turbo on my 16V, but due to the weight of a turbo I will likely buy new locally as freighting down here cost $$$.

Anyway turbos for 1800cc-2200cc honda motors. I thought one of the first 2 below would be the go. Any turbo guru's got any comments so that I know what I'm asking for? Are these/can they be ball bearing turbos? If I buy new how hard is it going to be to get the oil and water feeds right?

It does say however that sticking TO4 compressor wheels into T3 compressor housing is a bad idea sometimes as the diffuser area gets to small and this makes them really ineffecient. Thoughts?

TO4E - 46trim compress, T31,76 trim turbine housing 0.50, exhaust housing T3: 0.48 - 0.63. Flows 220-350bhp

TO4E - 50trim compress, T31,76 trim turbine housing 0.50, exhaust housing T3: 0.63 - 0.82. Flows 300-420bhp (power 3500-4500rpm)

TO4E - 50-60trim compress, T31,76 trim turbine housing 0.60, exhaust housing T3: 0.82, T350,76 Trim. Flows 300-500bhp (power 4000-4500rpm)

Does anyone know the specs for the factory turbo?

factory turbo is a t3 50 trim compressor and 0.48 exhaust a/r. My advice is to go with the smallest T4 compressor wheel else it will be very laggy. And don't forget the vtec engines rev very high...

Begbie ?

can you not try and get a roller bearing turbo or will that just end up being too expensive?
