Any Aberdeen greasemonkeys do me a viewing? #199807

Hi there -

is there an exceptionally generous person in the Aberdeen area of this planet who wouldn't mind going to check out a potential Coop for my girlfriend?

I would be externally grateful, as would she as it's a few miles from Norwich and I've got a bad knee, bike's got a puncture etc.

I may be able to fly up and get it if it's a winner, but if it turns out to be a lemon, then I'll be most relieved not to have to drive it seven hundred miles home! However, it's too much a bargain to pass up if it's good!

Hope someone can help -

Rusper

Well, it's advertised on Pistonheads, the link is here:

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/100695.htm

The guy is a mechanic who bought the car off a local garage (who had it from a dealer who took it in part-ex, apparently ) and I think he just wants shot of it, but I'm a little catious as to why he is selling it so cheap. He says that he spoke to the previous owner yesterday who claims to have all the paperwork still, and that the cambelt's been done last year.

An un-named mechanic friend reckons it might well be a lemon so obviously I would like to have it looked at as I won't really have the chance to check it over properly without seriously committing myself (I'm in Norwich - 9hrs away)

Thanks loads guys - hope to hear from you soon.

Cheer buddy. Did he mention which garage by any chance? That one was on Ebay last week, the plate is very easy to remember but I've never seen it around before.

He may have mentioned the gge but I don't recall - hang fire for a little while though cos I think the girl may be back on to a Mazda MX5 down this way - she's up and down like the Assyrian Empire this one
(And not like that, either - for any fans of the late, great 'Show us yer missus' thread)

Hmmm, I looked at that on e-bay as a potential for the Mrs.

I'm sure I've seen it in Union Street before, being driven like a nutter as it happens!!

Was only sitting at £860 on e-bay when I looked, in the end couldn't be bothered looking at it! My own coupe hardly ever sees the light of day, let alone getting another one.

I really do remember that number plate, I'm quite sad that way.

But oddly enough not on a coop.

Anyway, good to see you're still around MrB. Has anyone heard anything from Edd?
