Would only be effective on a bike, never get anywhere near the aiflow in a car wheelarch to achieve the cooling they claim. Stick with something well proven by forum members. Most peeps here seem very happy with 3G brake disks. Me included. Cheers, Jimi

I had these on a 20vt last year. although price is decent it's a gimmick in my opinion. i dont think they made much difference from the standard discs. i've used 3g, red dot & tarox which all have been a lot better

they look good, but how much are they? I'd stick to the 10 or 20 grove 3g discs, these are good discs and you can be sure they will work. No frills, but a good product - look quite hard being black coated also. here's a pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v187/S1MMA/brakes/DSC02371s.jpg

Sorry, yes thet were deemed to be a gimmick, there was lots of discussion on the old forum about these, I can't remember if anyone actually had them, but the general concensus was a waste of money over good, researched discs.
As Jimi says above

i was the first i think to own and fit these (rotordiscs) and i did say at the time they were rubbish for the money, std discs were better. they did draw lots of funny looks though! good show type item, but not good braking!

i have them on the front and back of my alfa and they were really good!
the guy who designs them (nigel) is also the owner of blueflame performance.....these discs are made by blueflame..
so if you were going to buy an exhaust, and you need brakes aswell.....ask when you call for some discount if you get both!

Coupe 2.0i 20v Turbo FRONT PAIR RD50942 305 X 28 £169.79
Funny, but I was expecting them to be more expensive. Especially considering the tiddly little rears are £140!

3G 10 grove rears are like £60 or so. You'd be silly not to at that price!

Yer, but I wouldn't want to put grooves on the rears if I hadn't got them on the front.

thats the idea mate, so they match!
Point is, if the front/rear rotor's are over £300, with the 3Gs for £200, you'd be silly to pay £100 more for better looking discs. The 3Gs look hard enough IMO - and work well.
Sideways a LOT

I would if the rears are shot and you have some wear left in the fronts unless you want to make a good amount of work in one go for yourself as well as outlay as thats 2 sets of new pads you would need as well if doing all at once....

yeah, got my standard rear pads from Rog for a heavy sum of about £16 IIRC. I actually got my rears from 3G for £40 as they honoured the GB price for me (after I purchased my fronts at full RRP a week before the group buy).
If you're going to get the spanners out, doing the rears dont take that long with the proper wind back tool.
Sideways a LOT

Sorry. I mis understood. Yer, I would definately get the rear grooves instead of the the rear rotors. Dont think the rotors would look quite so good in iddy biddy size either.
I know what you mean about the wind back tool. I just replaced all my brakes and winding that thing back without the tool was a right pain.
