I haven't a clue about mechanicals, but I do enjoy pottering with the appearance.

I often spend 10 mins, just cleaning and enhancing.

Nothing special but it makes me happy.

Paul your car looks great, I can never keep mine clean under the bonnet, it lives under some trees and the leaves always manage to find a way in. I'm slightly heartened by the prop holding up the bonnet though! maybe this is what he's on about, the striving for perfection, unless your an Emperor.

I've been lucky with my car. All of the 623 previous owners seem to have tried their best with it.

Steve across the road laughs, when I clean the car a panel at a time !
It all gets a very good wash regularly, then a bit gets rewashed, clayed, polished and waxed.

My psychiatrist says that it helps me.
My wife thinks that a good slap would give the same result.
