We spent a fortnight in a small market town in the Dordogne.
We had a hire car, and whizzed around the area every day.

Each day we would pop into town, park on the main street and go into the local cafe/bar for a coffee or cider and chat with the locals.

Today's post brought a parking ticket. €35 fine.

The ticket explains that we were parked in a blue zone without a parking disc.
This something that has been brought in since our last visit in 2023.

Now one fine is disappointing.

But, we went into town EVERY day. Aarrgghh

I hope that Postman Pierre isn't planning on coming to our house again.

Where did you stay Paul?

Back in the 1970s we lived in the Dordogne for 4 years in the commune of La Tour Blanche.

The nearest 2 towns were Riberac and just over the border Verteillac in Charente.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Hello Pete.

Le Bugue on the Vezere
It's around the corner from the Lascaux caves.

The nearest that we came to you would be Brantome, around 20 years ago.

We used to stay in Tremolat, nearer bergerac. It's famous for where Keith Floyd, then Rick Stein and eventually James Martin, visited and cooked.
You could eat in the Michelin restaurant. OR, Phillippe's pizza restaurant.

Le Bugue is a one horse town and suits us perfectly.

Paul
