So, for one reason or another I looked in to the cost of sourcing new LE seats. I was expecting them to be expensive, but was a little shocked to say the least! Having spoken to a well know FIat Parts suppliers, I was told that the seat covers for these come in six parts, and that you have to buy eash part seperately. Well, here are the part numbers and figures......... 1 154574080 89.37 2 154575080 89.37 3 154576014 363.36 4 154573014 363.36 5 154572080 399.70 6 154571080 127.18 So, those not keen to spend the £400 or so for a set of Leather seats from the group buy, the costs above will allow you to re-cover your tatty LE seats , so around £2500 for the pair!

Thats the current plan John, as you say there are a number of firms that offer this service.
I was just shocked at the cost of the above.

LE seats are now like a thing of legend. Unless you come across a set totally unexpected don't go looking for them unless you have deep pockets. The £479 for the GB set is a much better bet.

If you want LE seats the best thing to do is just buy a pair of secondhand Recaro SRs (as that's what they are) and recover them. A pair sold on eBay this week for £155 needing recovering - eBay Recaro SRs Or else look for some from a Lancia Delta Integrale (or new Delta) or else the Integra Type R ones. John

How easy would it be to fit these to the Fiat subframes though? Or would you need a pair of custom frames making up?
Ive been thinking about this for a while and there are a number of seats which appeal but its the subframe dilemma that stops be buying...

The Nouvo Delta seats should fit without any modifications.

JohnS are you sure ?? as the pic of the seat on ebay is one piece, coupe seats aren't they have a separate head rest One thing I don't understand is why the Plus & LE recaro's don't have the recaro badges on them (maybe that would give the impression that the coupe is a 'boy racers' motor if they did ?? We all know the coupe has class

Recaro supply plenty of car manufacturers & don't have Recaro plastered on them. I agree, it has much more class without Recaro all over them

Yes I know they don't have the headrest but aside from that they are the same. you can tell that the coupe LE seats are Recaro by the three sided rake adjuster aside from the absence of in-your-face recaro branding THere are Recaro subframes available for the tipo (coupe is the same) Otherwise it is reasonably easy to get a pair of old coupe seats and cut the frame off and use that. Lets face it, the ones I linked to were purple and you would recover them anyway!!

They are really comfortable seats & they look the biz (i love mine) Another thing which identifies them as Recaro's (apart from the brochure etc) is the shape of the headrest - Recaro's seem to have really square headrests.

Recaro n-joy always looked a decent seat. But no idea how they ride, or whether they can be trimmed in Leather. TBH I don't really find much wrong with the standard 20vt seats.

Several years ago I read a piece in Evo mag about their Mini Cooper. The seats had little side support, so they got a company in Leicestershire to weld on bigger side bolsters & recover with leather.
I contacted this company & they said that they would have a go on my coupe & a group buy almost developed, but I managed to get some LE seats before it all happened, so it kind of fizzled out. Still worth investigating I would imagine?
