The real fun thing I have found is changing the headlight adjustment motors with the lights in situ; particularly when you can't feel your fingers.

For some reason, most Euro countries require you to carry replacement bulbs, but none, as far as I know, require you to carry the special (or in some case, specialist) tools required to actually replace them. At least the coupe bulbs can all be done at the roadside... my French Thing[tm] has several clusters which require return-to-dealer, according to the manual. And if you happen to need to change a headlight, as I had to do twice in one trip earlier this year, you need a T25 driver. And another bulb
