Hi all! I’m feeling pretty stupid at the moment. I scored a set of fiat 500 petal design 17 inch wheels, with the correct offset. Ecstatic from my finding the seemingly perfect wheels, I sent them off to be powder coated in gold, to match my Scottish green 20vt.

Fast forward 4 months, and the wheels were done, and with a perfect finish.

Silly me hadn’t tried them with the calipers installed, as I was renovating the whole front suspension when I got the wheels. And now I realize that they don’t clear the calipers. Far from it. It would require gigantic spacers for them to fit.

I’d still like some cool looking 17 inch wheels, please advise. I guess some 500 Abarth versions also had pretty beefy calipers?

Well I don't know the situation these days, but there was always a pretty limited number wheels that would fit as standard, clearing the Brembos. There were others that would do so with a set of spacers, but I was never happy to do that.

Currently fitted to mine are Team Dynamics 17" and prior to that I had a set of TSW 17". Neither require spacers
