I very briefly saw an announcement yesterday saying there was a video coming out on Friday. I think it was something along the lines of why the Coop is underrated and that it isn't as unreliable as some people think. I can't seem to find it anywhere now though.

The Coop seems to be a favourite with Car Throttle in general and Alex Kersten seems like a big fan, so it should be a good video!

Apologies for the late post, but i'm not on the forum nowadays!

This all came about a bit quick
last Thursday - my friend tagged me in an Instagram post saying that Car Throttle were looking for a Coupe as part of their 'Automotive Misfit' series. So I messaged Alex with details of my Plus.

For those that haven't heard of Car Throttle, it's a YouTube channel with just under 2 million subscribers. The presenter (Alex) was also on Top Gear Extra last month, so I think he'll end up going places! The channel is worth a look - their F-type review is one of my favourite videos on the whole of YouTube!



Saturday - it is confirmed they want to use my car



Tuesday - they film my car! It was shot just outside Whaley Bridge in the Peak District.



So I had virtually no time to prepare or tart up my Coupe over the wet Bank Holiday - so what is you see is pretty much my daily driver after a tough winter, with a wash at 6am on Tuesday morning!!

But luckily I had been to JBT's a couple of weeks earlier for its annual big service and MOT so mechanically it was pretty much spot on! Alex seemed really keen on the car - he was actually close to buying one 10 years ago. He loves the look of them and I think the coupe really grew on him the more he drove it. He actually re-shot the interior driving segment - so hopefully that was for the better!

All the guys were top blokes and it was a privilege being able to experience the amount of work that goes into one of these videos. Hopefully me any my coupe will have done you all proud!

In 1997 Fiat Dealer's were chargimg circa £1400 for a cam belt!!

I don't think they truly captured the feel or pace of the Coupe.

They seemed to be more minded about what can go wrong. More to do with the 1970's mindset of the british driver even though he clearly liked the car.

Bur - he was clearly passionate about it. And the car performed to every demand- and no matter what anyone says- looked great in that electric blue hue.

hats off to you for chipping it in to that high definition test. You should be proud of her.
