Whilst the brakes have a judder, do they have any bite? I have the MTEC discs and my biggest complaint is the lack of feel and bite, rather than necessarily their stopping power. Like your judder, that may be more a pad issue than the discs?

The judder can be build up of pad material on the disc which clears under repeated hard braking - just don't stop completely when you are in this process. A dual carriage way late at night is a good place to do this. Have a read of this guide for cleaning the brakes.
